Second Saturday

Second Saturday

The tradition of Second Saturday is on temporary hold due to the pandemic. When activities resume, we’ll post a list of events and special activities for each month.

On Second Saturday, art studios and galleries, restaurants, wineries, breweries, distilleries, shops, B&B’s and inns extend a special welcome and offer special events, tastings and discounts!  Enjoy beautiful scenery, wonderful hospitality and creative possibilities as you experience all the county has to offer.  Visit the calendar to see what’s coming up.

Art

Artistry abounds!  Unleash your inner artist in group workshops or classes customized to individual interests.  Meet artisans skilled in every medium – stained and fused glass, pottery, painting, printmaking, sculpting, metal forging, woodworking, fine furniture making, culinary and floral arts and more.

Wine and Dine

Dining often means a farm-to-table experience and farms, nurseries and creators of botanicals provide produce, plantings and potions to meet your every need.  Further delighting the palate are wineries, breweries, distilleries and a cider and mead producer.  Visiting the country is a rich experience!

Entertainment

Several restaurants provide live music, typically on Friday and Saturday nights.  Wineries also have music – usually Saturday and Sunday afternoons – as well as wine appreciation classes, art or fashion shows, talks and other activities.

Lodging

Relaxation is on the menu at inns and B&B’s across scenic hills and valleys.  They are ready to pamper you with fresh farm breakfasts, reading nooks, swimming pools, shaded lawn chairs, hiking and walking trails and even friendly animals.  At the end of the day, fall into a comfortable cushiony bed for sweet dreams!

Shopping

Explore shops and galleries to find just the unique item you’d like for your home.  You will discover high-style, funky and country home goods and fashions  – something for every taste.
