The Artists of Rappahannock normally hold the highly popular annual Fall Art Tour on the first full weekend of November. The 2020 tour has been reimagined due to COVID-19, evolving from in-person to the virtual Rappahannock Arts Expo launched in mid-November. Each artist or gallery displays up to 12 pieces of art as well as contact info and a description of their artistic approach. Some artists and galleries will ship works to collectors; others will be open by appointment for viewing and pick up.
Typically, over 100 artists, in more than 40 studios and galleries, participate in the tour. Many of these award-winning artists are nationally and internationally recognized. Creative works include paintings, sculptures, pottery, glass, forged ironwork, jewelry, textiles and photography. (The traditional tour is expected to return in 2021.)
